Hi there,
My name is Kayla Han and I am the Vice President of Government and Stakeholder Relations at the Wilfrid Laurier University Students’ Union (WLUSU).
I recently graduated from Laurier with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a specialization in public policy. Throughout my time here, WLUSU has given me a home and a space to explore my passion for policy. I have been a coordinator within this department to support students with their housing and academic rights. I was also ecstatic to go to my first OUSA conference in 2020 as a delegate, but then the unfortunate aftermath of the pandemic occurred.
I am looking forward to a new year…with hopefully more in-person events! I hope to bring in new perspectives based on my passion for rural and urban development. I have established a non-profit, Rural and Ready, which is dedicated to helping post-secondary students in rural Canada achieve the same academic and career opportunities as their urban counterparts.
During my term, I am looking forward to exploring policy with a bunch of cool folks! Excited to start my journey this summer.
