Hi everybody,
My name is Ryan Sieg, I use he and him pronouns, and I am the Vice President of University Affairs at the Queen’s Alma Mater Society (AMS). I am ecstatic to have the opportunity to work with OUSA as a member of the Steering Committee and to push for positive change for students across the province.
To provide some background on myself, I grew up in North Vancouver, British Columbia but moved to Ontario for my undergraduate degree at Queen’s University in the School of Kinesiology and Health Studies. While I loved my degree program, my extra-curricular activities were what really made the experience memorable for me. I was very involved with orientation week, various clubs, and a mentorship program in the arts and science undergraduate society.
I am thrilled to have the chance to represent the Queen’s student body and to work with representatives with members of other partner institutions. Some of my advocacy passions are surrounding student health and wellness, academic advocacy, and sexual violence prevention and response.
This year provides an exciting opportunity to work with all of the student leaders from other schools, and to raise the voices of the Ontario undergraduate student body. I cannot wait to see what this year will bring.
