The Artificial Intelligence policy paper examines how AI is affecting post-secondary students’ learning and experiences in Ontario. It addresses students' concerns around accessibility, academic integrity and privacy. The paper also explores gaps in provincial legislation, institutional oversight, AI literacy, and research into impacts on students, post-secondary education, and the environment. Students propose recommendations to advance responsible, equitable, and accountable use of AI in post-secondary education.
This policy paper was written, approved, and published by undergraduate student authors. The principles, recommendations, and concerns within were voted on and ratified by student representatives from OUSA’s member schools in March 2026 during Spring General Assembly.
