Hi, my name is Sarah Baker.  I am currently in the fourth year of the Bachelor of Music at Queen’s University.  I have been on OSAP since first year and am paying for a majority of my degree by myself.  My parents have contributed to my education costs through an RESP that they contributed to for years but it does not cover my tuition, books and living expenses (rent, food, etc.).  I work at The Lazy Scholar, which is a cafeteria on campus.  You can usually find me behind the pizza counter there on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights and I do get a free meal every time I work.  My average grocery bill for a month is about $250 so I am just over this $7.50 limit. That being said, I don’t necessarily follow the most balanced diet in the world.  Between my classes, homework and extra-curriculars I don’t have a lot of extra time to spare calculating how many servings of each thing I’ve had each day but I do try to eat some of each group (vegetables, grains, etc.).
