Every year, thousands of students are unable to realize their dreams of attending university, due to financial restraints. Every blue chair that you see around campus represents a student that was unable to afford the cost of a university education. Help the Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance represent students and try and make university more affordable to all.
This year, Blue Chair at uWindsor will focus on getting real stories from you, the students. There will be a Speakers’ Corner in the CAW where your stories will be recorded and shared with OUSA and the UWSA to bring attention to the plight of uWindsor students and especially those who are unable to attend.
There will be prizes for recording your story, so come by and share how financial restraints are affecting your access to and experience with post-secondary education.
The main focus of our campaign will be our Speaker’s Corner, which will be hosted in the CAW Student Centre Commons from 9:00-4:00PM, Monday-Wednesday, Jan. 18-20. We’ll be hearing stories about students’ personal experiences regarding financial barriers to access, as well as students feel about others not being able to attain their dreams due to a plethora of reasons.
