Students meet with NDP Critic Rosario Marchese at OUSA’s Student Advocacy Conference, 2010

As the keystone of our advocacy efforts, OUSA prides itself on practicing a professional lobbying approach that is student-driven and informed by meticulous primary and secondary research. OUSA strives to identify student concerns and develop educated solutions to the challenges facing students and post-secondary sector. OUSA engages in a constructive and collaborative approach to advocacy and we regularly work with a number sector partners to further increase the strength of our members’ voices.

Undergraduate students are at the heart of our advocacy efforts, and it is our members who drive our advocacy priorities. Students participate in our monthly steering committee meetings, pass policies and identify priorities at our semi-annual General Assemblies, set our yearly strategic plan, and regularly participate in our campus advocacy campaigns.

To learn more about our advocacy priorities, be sure to consult the latest documents in our Research Centre.
