Here’s what the OUSA research team is up to during the month of August:
The summer of 2012 has been a summer of ebbs and flows for the research team. The high ebbs have most notably been our collaborative work on writing and submitting a community of practice letter to the government on behalf of all post-secondary students in Ontario who want to strengthen support of mental health initiatives on campus. Another high ebb has been the successful release of our more recent government submission, Educated Reform, which is already creating a buzz online among our social media followers.
In the general day-to-day flow of things, the research team has been busy writing, analyzing and collecting data in support of our upcoming survey reports on student financial aid and student satisfaction. In addition to these we are busy working with out steering committee members to get our fall policy papers researched and written just in time for our fall General Assembly.
Finally, we are hard at work re-designing our Campus Research Network (CRN) to make it more engaging for our would-be student researchers who will be helping us produce more primary research this year at OUSA than ever before. If you’re interested in becoming a campus researcher or if you have any ideas on what our CRN should be this year then drop us an email at [email protected]
