If you’ve stumbled into our corner of real estate on the internet, I’ll assume that you have some stake in the conversation around higher education. Whether you’re a member, student, an educator, a lobbyist, a parent, a civil servant or simply a citizen concerned with the state of post-secondary academic institutions, I’d be interested in chatting with you.
My interest in the communications facet of OUSA lies in our ability to better understand the complexities of higher education. To do that, we need all the information. As someone with a background in student journalism followed by student union public relations, I understand both ends of the spectrum and the need to take many perspectives into consideration when making policy recommendations. Every stakeholder has a unique set of needs and I’m most interested in the way OUSA can best represent its members among this complexity.
I’m currently a Masters of Design candidate at OCAD University focused in Strategic Foresight and Innovation. I’m really looking forward to bringing an element of foresight and strategy to the organization and using our unique vantage point in the sector to be as innovative as possible.
