As we took to Queen’s Park yesterday to relay the needs of students to our members of provincial parliament, we were quickly wrapped up in what was certainly a fury of politics. The day started with an excellent press conference, progressed with an MPP sit in, and ended with a very successful alumni event.
OUSA is at Queen’s Park this week asking MPP’s to reform OSAP, target funding for student success, and to restore fair cost sharing. Members and their staff have been very receptive to our message so far, and we have been able to engage is some meaningful discussion about the future of PSE in our province.
After the effective media coverage, engaging dialogue, and exciting political performances that occurred yesterday, I am excited to see what is in store for us today.
